Fix My Antenna are your local NBN experts, and we can install an optic fibre, HFC, or ethernet Telstra internet connection in your home.

Our team understand that some people are happy with their existing Telstra ADSL connection and may be considering a switch to the Telstra WiFi network rather than NBN optic fibre.

If you don’t want your home rewired, you can opt for a Telstra WiFi connection, such as Telstra home 4G. However, Fix My Antenna recommends that you choose a Telstra new NBN optic fibre connection because it offers superior data speeds and is far more reliable than wireless.

Telstra 5G Fixed Wireless

If you live in a rural area where previous access to reliable internet was previously patchy, Telstra fixed wireless broadband, and equivalent options are offered by Optus, iiNet, TPG, Dodo, and Sky Fibre. Fixed wireless requires direct line of site installation between the NBN fixed wireless base station and the NBN antenna mounted on your home.

Please note that Telstra fixed wireless speeds are subject to signal strength, obstruction of the antenna’s line of sight to the tower, and weather conditions such as heavy rain and extreme heat. This is true for the other NBN fixed wireless providers as well.

Fix My Antenna Does Not Provide Wireless Services

Due to performance issues in SE Queensland with NBN 4G Fixed Wireless and other Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone 5G wireless services, Fix My Antenna has decided not to offer any support, repair, or reinstallation for these technologies.

We strongly recommend that people using wireless to switch to more reliable NBN optic fibre services. For standalone homes in urban areas we recommend installing Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), or the recently introduced Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) option.

NBN FTTP and FTTC typically offer faster data speeds at a cheaper cost than NBN 5G fixed wireless and NBN satellite options.
